Red Cross / Holiday Season Non-Profit

Our first spot for Red Cross. Martin Stirling and Partizan helped us bring this together. Not the most uplifting topic during the holidays, but one that needs to be recognized. Home fires are the biggest disaster threat people face in this country. The Red Cross responds to help a family affected by a home fire every 8 minutes. A truthful reminder that “most wonderful time of the year” isn’t always so wonderful for everyone.

True Progress Bars

The Red Cross responds to an emergency every 8 minutes. That’s really quite often.

To communicate just how often 8 minutes is, the American Red Cross will partner with Hulu, YouTube and other streaming services to replace the usual white dot or yellow line on their progress bars (which typically signify when an ad will play) with a simple Red Cross. One every 8 minutes. On rollover of each cross, a non-obtrusive pop-up will appear. The small ad will include a strong CTA and a donate button. A reminder of the constant need for donations to The American Red Cross.
